The "2nd Governor Joseph G. Maranon Cup" Trio Regional Bowling Tournament organized by the Active Solid Strikers Fellowship Bowlers Inc. rolls off today at the New Top's Millennium Plaza Bowling Alley in Bacolod City.

ASSFBI president Edgar Allan del Rosario, said non-stop action in the two-day event will start at 3 p.m.

Registration fee is P2,000. The top three winners in two divisions to be contested are P10,000 worth of gift certificates, plus trophy for the champion; P7,000 and P5,000 for the first and second runners-up in the men's bracket.

At stake for the champion in the women's team is P7,000; P5,000 for the first runner-up, and P3,000 for third, and a trophy each.

The up-the-ladder championship is scheduled Sunday starting at 9 a.m.

Meanwhile, the final showdown of the top four teams in the Negros Occidental High School Inter-class Alumni Bowling Tournament will be held tonight starting at 5 p.m. at the Super Lanes of the Goldenfield Commercial Complex in Bacolod City.

Class '73 Globelines and Class '62 are to be beaten-twice in their respective division.

To give them a tough fight for the tournament's crown are Class '66; Class '83, and Class '68 in bracket A; Class '70, Class '71, and Class '72 in class B category. Awarding of prizes follows right after the champion in two divisions have been known.*HLG
