President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo will be in Bacolod City on April 27 to attend the National Convention of the Vice Mayors' League of the Philippines, Gov. Joseph Marañon said yesterday.

Marañon, however, said he has not received an official communication confirming Arroyo's arrival, but was informed that the President will be the guest of honor at the gathering of vice mayors.

Arroyo was supposed to arrive in Bacolod City and Negros Occidental last month for the "Sigaw ng Bayan Charter Change Rally" but she cancelled the visit because of her other commitments, reports said.*
