The Bacolod Central Little League charter, represented by former World Series campaigners from Education Training Center School and Domingo Lacson National High School, is fielding four teams in the 2006 Philippine Series set from April 22-30 in Nueva Ecija.

ETCS will represent BCLL in the boys and girls' Little League (11-12) tournaments and the girls' Junior League (13-14) event, while Domingo Lacson National High School is entered in the girls' Senior League (14-16) tourney.

Perennial favorite Paglaum Village National High School is skipping the tournament for the first time in many years, BCLL's Teresita Himpolaran told the DAILY STAR.

earn top semifinal berths

West Negros College and San Carlos City beat different opponents yesterday to earn the top seed in their respective brackets as the Negros Occidental Football Association Under-17 Interclub Provincial Football Championships heads into the semifinal round at the University of St. La Salle pitch in Bacolod City.

The Samuel de Oca-mentored WNC booters pounded Pontevedra, 4-0, to gain the top seed in Bracket B, while San Carlos prevailed over Victorias City, 2-0, for the top slot in Bracket A.

Nat'l girls' U-17 football
championships scheduled

Twelve squads will vie for top honors in the PFF National Under-17 girls' football championships set from May 7-14 in San Carlos City, Negros Occidental.

Seeing action in the week-long tournament are Bukidnon Football Association, Cagayan-Misamis, FA, Cebu FA, Davao FA, Iligan-Lanao FA, Iloilo FA, FA of Masbate, Negros Oriental FA, FA of Rizal, South Cotabato FA, Muntinlupa-Parañaque-Las Piñas FA and Negros Occidental FA.
