The mother of a 13-year-old boy from Brgy. Cabahug, Cadiz City, Negros Occidental, who has been diagnosed to have back pains and swelling of lower extremities at the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital in Bacolod City, is seeking the help of kindhearted DAILY STAR readers, for the continued medication of her son.

Rebecca Quigan, mother of R-Jay, 13, and a Grade 5 pupil, said her son has been confined at the hospital for a long time now, and she can no longer afford to buy his medicines.

She said she has no one to turn to for financial assistance, because her other children with her late husband, Juanito, are still under her care.

Medical records show that R-Jay was brought to the hospital for having difficulty in walking due to swelling of his legs. He has also lost his appetite.

He was advised to take anti-tuberculosis medicines for liver failure support, and was advised to undergo blood transfusion, records added. Any help for R-Jay may be coursed through the DAILY STAR office.*GCT
