Gov't center session set
BY CHRYSEE SAMILLANO

The Bacolod Sangguniang Panlungsod yesterday passed two resolutions for a special session to be held in the morning of April 20 to discuss technical matters concerning the proposed government center for Bacolod City, and another session in the afternoon to discuss the financial aspect of the project.

The resolutions were proposed by Councilor Lyndon Caña.

The SP will invite to the 9 a.m. session the City Administrator, the City Planning Officer, City Engineer, City Accountant, Bacolod Traffic Authority, the principal and alumni of the Bacolod City National High School, and representatives of the Department of Education, Bacolod City College, City Health Office, Department of Interior and Local Government, and the business group for the purpose of shedding light, or to answer queries of the SP members on the proposed project to be set up in Brgy. Taculing.

In the afternoon the SP will invite City Administrator Lorendo Dilag, other officials of the city, and representatives of the Land Bank of the Philippines, Philippine Veterans Bank, Philippine National Bank, and Development Bank of the Philippines to take up possible loan agreements between them and the city.

To be discussed during the morning session, Caña said, are the technical aspects of the project like the cost in relation to the development of the site, traffic, flooding and drainage, and what will happen to the BCC and City Health Office.

In the afternoon the session will concentrate on the mode of payment, how the city will amortize the loan, and what projects will be affected if several millions will be used to pay quarterly or annually the loan for the project.

Councilor Al Victor Espino has requested the City Administrator to provide advance copies of the loan proposals of the banks for the SP members to study.*CGS
