IN GUIHULNGAN
Dialog turns into protest rally

BY GILBERT BAYORAN

The scheduled dialog between Aglipayan Church Bishop David Ga, accompanied by militant groups, and the Army's 11h Infantry Battalion in Guihulngan, Oriental Negros, turned into a protest rally on Saturday.

Lt. Col. Jess Manangquil, 11th IB commanding officer, yesterday said Ga had invited them to attend a dialog in Brgy. Hilaitan, Guihulngan, to clarify the accusations that linked Fr. Wendy Sediego, a priest of the Iglesia Filipina Independiente, to the rebel movement. Manangquil said Sediego is the secretary-general of Bayan Muna - Oriental Negros chapter and a member of human rights group Karapatan.

At the same time, he added, they have documents to prove that Sediego is facing rape and grave threats complaints at the Ayungon Police Station.
