MCA shoots for victory No. 2
BY CHRISTIAN IRL TAN

Mansilingan Christian Academy aims to post its second victory when it takes on Bacolod Tay Tung High School-B at 8:30 a.m. today in the 2nd Basketball Unified Sports Group-Panasonic 10-Under basketball tournament at the Po Hang Gym in Bacolod City.

The MCA cagers demolished Trinity Christian School, 39-23, at the start of the basketball tournament last week. TCS hopes to barge into the win column when it collides with St. John's Institute at 9:30 a.m. The SJI stalwarts suffered a 42-59 setback at the hands of defending champion BTTHS-A during its opening game last week.

Mansilingan will battle SJI at 8:30 a.m. tomorrow, before the Gerome Aledron-mentored Tay Tung-A squad clashes with BTTHS-B at 9:30 a.m. in the tournament that has adopted a double round robin system.

Meanwhile, Pueblo Rosario and BUS Group-B scored triumphs against separate rivals to barge into the win column of the 1st BUS Group 40-Up Fellowship Invitational Tournament at the Lopue's South Square Gym in Bacolod City recently.

PRAC ripped the Bacolod City Water District of coach Willy Joguilon, 58-40, while BUS Group-B enjoyed a walkover win over BUS Group-A that failed to produce five players at tip-off.

Jack Palermo poured in 19 points to spearhead the charge of Pueblo Rosario, which improved to 1-1. BACIWA and the A and B squads of BUS Group also have 1-1 slates. *CIT
