Millgate prices of "B" or raw sugar eased at the
bidding on Thursday, leveling between P1,215 and P1,280 per P50-Lkg,
data of the Sugar Master Plan Foundation show.
On March 30, prices went as high as P1,298 per
lkg. from only between P1,200 and P1,254 on March 23.
This week, BISCOM disposed its stocks at P1,263.35
per Lkg (high) and P1,245.15 (low); Hawaiian-Philippine Company,
P1,280; SONEDCO, P1,215;
VMC, P1,215; CADP, P1,255 (high) and P1,235 (low);
BUSCO, P1,245; Passi I and Passi II, P1,262, and Pilar, P1,252.



New
C-FARMC officers inducted
The new officers for 2006-2009 of the City Fisheries
and Aquatic Resources Management Council were inducted by Bacolod
Councilor Thaddeus Sayson at the CCLDO Training Hall, SDC Compound,
Brgy. Taculing, Bacolod City, yesterday, a city hall press release
said.
Sayson is the chairman of the Committee on Agriculture
and Fisheries.
Sworn in were Eduardo Espinosa Sr. - chairman,
Felipe Trio - vice chairman, Elma Cantila - secretary, Jose Guntalidad
- treasurer, Rocky Bacongon - Auditor, Elizabeth dela Cruz - public
relations officer, and Luis Despojo and Aurelio Gaven - sergeant-at-arms,
the press release said. Sayson encouraged the C-FARMC officers
to make a better program for their budget, the press release added.*



50,000
job vacancies
posted at Phil-Jobnet
The Department of Labor and Employment has announced
that around 50,000 job opportunities are currently posted on-line
by local and global employment providers in the computerized Phil-Jobnet
system.
The Bureau of Local Employment said in a press
release that about 65 percent of these are local job opportunities
while 35 percent consist of overseas vacancies.
The top 20 vacancies currently available in the
system include customer service assistants (12,078), professional
nurses (8,059), technical support staff (3,304), computer systems
engineers (2,000), and agents (1,520), it said.
