The officers of the Non-Uniformed Personnel Association
of the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office that was activated
in February will be sworn in by provincial director, Senior Supt.
Charles Calima Jr., today, at the Kanlaon Hall of the provincial
police, in Bacolod City, a NOPPO press release said.
To be inducted are Sheryl Castanos - president,
Helen Saludares - vice president, Cherrie Nariz - secretary, Maya
Mejica - assistant secretary, Shirley Yanson - treasurer, Ronald
Navoa - assistant treasurer, Jocelyn Centina - auditor, Azucena
Manalon - assistant auditor, Ma. Imogene Montelibano - business
manager, Yvonne Baliguas - assistant business manager, Jenny Domaniel
and Nida Lorenzo - public relations officers, and board of directors
Pacencia Abaja and Renato Navares, it also said.
Representatives of 18 units of NOPPO are expected
to attend the activity which will also mark the first general assembly
of the 57-member association. Bagguer Villaluz will provide entertainment
during the event, the press release added.*

BACGEM

general assembly, election today
The Bacolod City Government Employees Multi-Purpose
Cooperative will hold its 9th annual general membership assembly
and election of officers on the theme "BACGEM Soaring High at 9,"
today, at the Bacolod Arts and Youth Center, in Bacolod City.
A press release from the group said yesterday
that about 1,200 BACGEM members are expected to attend. Eduardo
Ravena, BACGEM chairperson, will welcome the guest speakers and
participants to be followed by the messages from Bacolod Mayor Evelio
Leonardia, Vice Mayor Renecito Novero, and Councilor Catalino Alisbo,
chairperson of the Sangguniang Panlungsod Committee on Cooperative,
the press release said.
Guest speakers at the assembly will be representatives
from the Land Bank of the Philippines, Bacolod City Cooperative
Development Council, and Cooperative Development Authority, the
press release added.*
