NOFA meeting today

Coaches and team representatives of squads who want to join the Negros Occidental Football Association Red Ribbon Under-15 and the Under-17 Interclub Provincial Football Championship will have their final meeting at 2 p.m. today at the NOFA club house at 23rd Aguinaldo Street, Bacolod City.

NOFA deputy general-secretary Warren Concepcion said the meeting will cover the finalization of the number of competing teams and the explanation of the rules and regulations of the tournaments.

The groupings and drawing of lots will also be tackled during the meeting as well as the finalization of the schedule of matches and playing venues, he said.

NOFA targets 16 squads seeing action in the Under-15 hostilities, while at least 12 teams are expected to compete in the Under-17 tournament that will be used as a qualifying event for the national finals slated May 26 to 28 in Cebu, he added.

Squads that have confirmed their entry in the Red Ribbon Under-15 event are West Negros College, University of St. La Salle, Domingo Lacson National High School, San Carlos City Football Club, Bago City FC, Victorias City FC, Sagay City FC, Bacolod City National High School, Maao United FC, Pontevedra FC and La Carlota City FC.

Signifying their entry in the Under-17 competitions were WNC, USLS, La Castellana FC, San Carlos FC, Talisay FC, Handumanan United FC, Bago FC, Victorias FC, Maao United FC, Pulupandan FC, La Carlota FC, Pontevedra FC, Isabela FC and DLNHS. *CIT
