Bacoleņo PMA
magna cum laude
BY CEDELF TUPAS

A resolution commending the achievement of Bacole?o Samson Servano who was among the 11 Philippine Military Academy graduates, who earned magna cum laude honors, is being proposed by Councilor Greg Gasataya.

Servano, who holds a second lieutenant rank, graduated valedictorian of Andres Bonifacio Elementary School and salutatorian at St. Joseph's High School in Bacolod City.

The achievement and distinction of Servano is the first to be ever received by a PMA cadet from Bacolod City, Gasataya said in the resolution.

Servano, who has chosen to be in the Philippine Navy, is part of the PMA Silent Drill Company that visits cities upon invitation to exhibit the discipline acquired and to recruit young men to the country's premier military institution of higher learning, a press release from the City Mayor's Office said yesterday.

Servano said another PMA graduate from Bacolod is Caroline Ann Serame from Fortune Town, Barangay Estafania.

Serame was his former classmate at the Technological University of the Philippines-Visayas in Talisay City. *CPT
