Iloilo man killed
in road mishap

An employee of the Department of Agriculture in Iloilo City was killed when the motorcycle he was riding smashed into a cargo truck Saturday morning in Brgy. Suba, Bayawan City, Oriental Negros.

Police identified the victim as Virgilio Cedeno, 50, married, of Zone 4 in Tacas Jaro, Iloilo City.

Investigation showed that Cedeno was driving his black Suzuki motorcycle heading north at about 2 a.m. Saturday when it hit the parked truck along Zamora street in Suba.

The truck was later found to be registered in the name of Cristito Genon of Brgy. Malabugas, Bayawan.

Cedeno was already dead by the time he arrived at the Bayawan District Hospital, police reports said.*RG
