injured in Banago
BY DONALYN GUERRERO

A barangay tanod, his son and two other persons were wounded in a hacking incident in Purok Baybayon, Brgy. Banago, Bacolod City, at about 8 a.m. Sunday, with the suspect's two brothers they also allegedly hacked and injured.

Brgy. Banago tanod Francisco Dulana Sr., 47 and his son Francisco Jr., 19 were rushed to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital with hack wounds in the head, back arms and wrists, allegedly inflicted by brothers Carlos, 55 and Magdaleno, 46, Diaresco, police reports said.

The Diaresco brothers were also brought to the CLMMRH with hack wounds in the head, arms and feet allegedly inflicted by the Dulanas, police reports also said.

Senior Insp. Joeresty Coronica, Precinct 3 station commander yesterday said the incident started when the younger Dulana reportedly hit with his hand the head of Carlos Diaresco's son who retaliated.

Upon learning of the incident, the older Dulana, armed with a bolo, went to the Diaresco residence and challenged them to a fight, Coronica said.

He said the older Diaresco came out and an altercation began that later led to the tumultuous fray.

Both the Dulanas and the Diarescos are still confined at the CLMMRH while the police is still investigating the case, Coronica said.*DMG
