Today, April 3, is the deadline for application for the Special
Program for the Employment of Students of Bacolod City, a press
release from the mayor's office said.
Requirements should be submitted to the Public Employment
Services Office. SPES is under the supervision of the Department
of Labor and Employment.
PESO records show there are 492 applicants under the SPES,
but only 300 have so far completed their requirements.
Applicants who can not submit the complete requirements by
April 3 will be replaced, PESO head Moises de la Cruz said in the
press release.
PESO also sent additional application forms to the barangays.
De la Cruz said students will render 20 working days during
the summer, but those who are graduating will be allowed to work
for 30 days.
Students can use their salaries to pay some of their school fees,
the press release added.*
