The Victorias Power Consumers for Reforms Inc. has
raised more issues before the National Electrification Administration
on the alleged questionable acts of the officials of the V-M-C
Rural Electric Service Cooperative.
In their recent letter to NEA Deputy Administrator
Pablo Pan III, VIPCOR, headed by Elinore Cabanilla, said that
they believe NEA can impose disciplinary or punitive measures
on all erring employees and officials, including the Board of
Directors. 


Application
for SPES
accepted until today
Today, April 3, is the deadline for application
for the Special Program for the Employment of Students of Bacolod
City, a press release from the mayor's office said.
Requirements should be submitted to the Public
Employment Services Office. SPES is under the supervision of the
Department of Labor and Employment.
PESO records show there are 492 applicants under
the SPES, but only 300 have so far completed their requirements.



NEDA
pushes for more
core infra projects
The National Economic Development Authority is pushing
for the implementation of core infrastructure projects supportive
of the Medium Term Philippine Development Plan with increased
infrastructure spending following the increase in Gross Domestic
Product growth from 2.2 percent to 4.5 percent.
NEDA said in a statement that investments in roads,
transport, information technology, water and power will open up
new areas and improve transport of goods and services from the
rural to the urban areas and decongest key cities.
