MOA eyed for
children of OFWs

A Memorandum of Agreement supporting the government agenda on education in communities where there are children of Overseas Filipino Workers will be signed this month by different national government agencies, a business group, and the Oriental Negros government.

Gov. George Arnaiz will sign the agreement with the representatives of the Department of Labor and Employment, Department of Foreign Affairs, Department of Education, and the Federation of Filipino-Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Arnaiz said he committed about P600,000 for the construction of three elementary and high school buildings in three localities in the province, where there are children of OFWs.

These are for the Matambok Elementary School in Manjuyod town, Nagbinlod Elementary School in Nagbinlod Sta. Catalina town, and the Bonbonon High School in Bonbonon, Siaton town. The role of the participating agencies will be specified in the MOA.*RA
