Mayor's decision
on CRRA out today

Bacolod Mayor Evelio Leonardia will announce his decision on the Comprehensive Revised Reclamation Agreement case during the executive-legislative caucus today at the Business Inn in Bacolod City.

This was disclosed yesterday by Secretary to the Mayor Roger Balo, who said the Mayor wants to get feedback from the reaction of the Sangguniang Panlungsod members.

The decision will involve the results of the review of the CRRA which covers the contract of the city with the Bacolod Real Estate Development Corp.

Balo said all the members of the SP have been invited to the joint caucus, except for Councilors Marx Louie de la Rosa and Arturo Parreņo who, from the start, have never participated in the CRRA caucuses. He said Vice Mayor Renecito Novero had earlier inhibited himself from the CRRA review, being a lawyer of the BREDCO president, so he was also not invited.

Balo said the three options of the executive working group is the takeover, re-bidding, and re-negotiation. "In my personal opinion, the city cannot conduct the re-bidding if there is no takeover of the operation and management of the BREDCO port," Balo said.

The executive working group conducted a comprehensive evaluation of the case which covered the legal, organizational, economic, political and moral aspects, Balo also said.*CGS
