Traffic police officer
in hot water for threat

A member of the Negros Oriental Traffic Management Group in Bindoy town, Oriental Negros was charged with grave threat and administrative offense by the driver of his immediate commander.

Renoir Gonzales, of Habitat II, Brgy. Bajumpandan, Dumaguete City and driver of TMG provincial chief Senior Inspector Juanito Borromeo, filed the charges against Senior Police Officer 2 Joselito Jainar, before the Regional Internal Affairs Office of the Philippine National Police.

Gonzales accused Jainar of pointing a gun at him last month while he, Borromeo, the suspect, and four others were aboard a car on their way back to Dumaguete from Mabinay. The complainant said Borromeo rebuked Jainar after the incident.

Gonzales said he later learned that Jainar had a grudge against him for being allegedly strict when they were still at the Central Visayas Polytechnic College, now the Negros Oriental State University.*RG
