Fertilizer firm appoints new
distributor, renames product

Malaysian firm IBG Ventures Sdn. Bhd. has named BIO IBG Philippines Corp. the sole distributor in the country of its bio fertilizer products, now under the brand name, IBG Super Microorganism Bio Fertilizer.

Both companies sealed their partnership through a Memorandum of Agreement signed during a press conference held at the Bacolod Convention Plaza Hotel yesterday.

The MOA was signed by Ng Wei Chiang, chief operations officer of IBG Ventures Sdn. Bhd., and Ng Kee Soon, chairman of Bio-IBG Philippines Corp., in the presence of Simon Lo, executive director of Bio-IBG Philippines Corp. and Patricio Lim, who handles the day-to-day operations of the Bacolod marketing team.

BSP to hold info campaign

The Department of Economic Research of Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas will hold a public information campaign on the role of the BSP in the Philippine economy on Dec. 6 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., at the L'Fisher Hotel in Bacolod City.

The BSP said that the participants will be informed about recent economic and financial developments in the country, inflation targeting as framework of monetary policy and the salient features of the Anti-Money Laundering Act and its implementing rules and regulations.

BCNHS students train
in organic rice farming

Twenty-two senior and junior students of the Bacolod City National High School attended a seminar on Masipag Organic Rice Farming Technology on Nov. 21 and 22, the Federation of Free Farmers said in a press release.

The students were led by Vocational Department Head Ramonito Posadas, Agriculture teachers Nelso Dohinog and John Segovia and retired teacher Romulo Barbasa.

Those who completed the training were senior students Ronel Alemania, Rejoy Embao, Alrick Bayking, Edmark Gallano, Joseph Timothy Garin, Fernando Quirino, Paul Michael Sanao, Alvin Mondia, Michael Villaflor, Giovanni Malabag and Kimricci Gail and junior students Alcantara Jeffrey Gabasa, Erwin Rommel Salvador, Vicente Malayas, Allan Valero, Hussie Vincent Olaera, John Joseph Ramirez, Lyndon Aldivera, Joebert Dacumos, Raffy Infante, Niel Bryan Inson and Samson Von Kiven.
