NUNCA lauds
governor, Bacolod SP

The Negrenses United-Never to Constituent Assembly (NUNCA) yesterday congratulated Gov. Joseph Maraņon for his support of the Negrenses' civil and political rights that their sentiments and opinions be heard by the Constitutional Consultative Committee regarding moves to effect Charter Change.

Maraņon's adherence to this fundamental right should be supported by all Negrenses, especially by the Sanggunians all over Negros Occidental, a NUNCA press release said.

NUNCA also congratulated the Bacolod City Sanggunian for opposing the moves in the House of Representatives to revise the Constitution through the Constituent Assembly mode, the press release said.

It is NUNCA's stand to strongly oppose this move of the House of Representatives under the leadership of Speaker Jose de Venecia, the press release said.*
