Two men were charged with parricide for killing their father last week in Barangay Pula, Canlaon City, Oriental Negros.

Police identified the slain man as Joseph Moreno and the suspects as his sons Jonathan, 30, married and Johnrey, both of the same village.

Police report said that before the incident, the two sons and their father had an altercation, which resulted in violence when one of the sons hacked and stabbed his father with a 19-inch bladed weapon.

The other sibling beat him with an iron pipe, resulting in the old man's death. Both surrendered to the police after the incident.

Police are still investigating the killing.*RG
