The proposal of the Tangub Community Homeowners
Association Inc. to buy a portion of its foreclosed property at
Purok Paghidaet, Brgy. Tangub Bacolod City at P600 per square
meter has been approved by Banco Filipino.
TCHAI president Patria Gerada, however, said the
bank is giving them only 60 days to pay for the 3.95 hectares
property amounting to P18 million, which squatter families like
them cannot afford.
She said she will present the bank's proposal to
the TCHAI, composed of 117 families, to get their reaction. They
also want to inquire from Banco Filipino if their association
can be given authority to invite other interested parties to purchase
available lots.
